Everything SageRank checks on your domain.
SageRank measures brand authority across four pillars: SEO, AEO, GEO and domain security. This page lists the checks the scanner performs today, which ones are free, and which need an account.
SEO
Can search engines find, understand and rank your pages?
The technical basics decide how you appear in search results. The free scan covers the on-page checks; account plans add performance, crawling and AI-assisted keyword work.
| Check | What it looks at | Available in |

| Robots rules | Robots meta tag and robots.txt status. | Free scan |
| Image alt text | The share of images that carry alt text. | Free scan |

| Technology detection | Identifies the platform and server stack behind the site. | Account |
| Keyword and SERP analysis | Keyword strategy, search-result features and competitor gaps, generated by AI. Treat as estimates, not measured volumes. | AI-assisted |
| Backlink opportunities | Suggested link prospects compared with competitors, generated by AI. This is not a crawled backlink index. | AI-assisted |
AEO
Can answer engines use your content?
Answer engines and assistants quote pages they can parse. Structured data tells them what a page is, who it is from and which questions it answers.
| Check | What it looks at | Available in |
|---|---|---|
| Structured data (JSON-LD) | Schema.org blocks are present on the page. | Free scan |
| FAQPage markup | FAQ structured data is detected. | Free scan |
| Speakable markup | Content is marked up for voice and answer engines. | Free scan |
| Readability | A Flesch-Kincaid reading score of the page text. | Account |
| Schema audit | Fetches a page, extracts its structured data and flags gaps. This is a real page fetch, not a guess. | Account |
| FAQ drafts and rewrites | AI-drafted FAQ entries and rewrites that make paragraphs easier to quote. | AI-assisted |
| Alt-text suggestions | AI-suggested alt text for images that are missing it. | AI-assisted |
GEO
Will AI models know, trust and cite you?
Generative models rely on clear identity, readable content and open crawler access. These checks measure those signals, and full audits ask five AI models how well they recognise you.
| Check | What it looks at | Available in |
|---|---|---|
| llms.txt | An llms.txt file is present and readable. | Free scan |
| AI-crawler access | Whether your robots.txt allows or blocks known AI crawlers. | Free scan |
| Quotable content | The share of paragraphs an AI model can quote cleanly. | Free scan |
| Trust and identity pages | About, contact, privacy policy, terms and a business address are present. | Free scan |
| AI recognition by model | ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and DeepSeek are each asked how well they recognise your domain, returning a score and a short reason. | Account |
| Brand identity checklist | A knowledge-panel checklist and a list of business directories to claim. | Account |
| Social brand visibility | How consistently your brand appears across social profiles. | Account |
| File generators | Generate robots.txt, llms.txt, security.txt, humans.txt and brand-facts files. | Account |
Domain security
Is your domain safe to trust?
Buyers, mail providers and AI systems all weigh domain trust. The free scan checks the basics; deeper audits need an account, and vulnerability scans need a verified domain.
| Check | What it looks at | Available in |
|---|---|---|
| HTTPS | The site is served over HTTPS. | Free scan |
| HSTS | The Strict-Transport-Security header is present. | Free scan |
| Web application firewall | Detects a firewall or CDN layer from response headers. This is a signal, not a full test. | Free scan |
| DMARC and SPF records | Email-spoofing protection records are published for the domain. | Account |
| CAA records | Certificate authority authorisation is set. | Account |
| TLS certificate expiry | Warns before the certificate expires. | Account |
| Security headers | Checks headers such as CSP and X-Frame-Options. | Account |
| Vulnerability scanning | Runs Nuclei checks for headers, CORS, DNS, SSL, exposures and known CVEs. Deeper levels need a verified domain. | Account |
| Domain ownership proof | A DNS TXT record proves you own the domain before deeper scans run. | Account |
What SageRank does not cover yet
We would rather say it plainly than let you assume.
- –Microsoft Copilot. It has no public interface we can query, so it is not part of AI recognition checks.
- –A backlink index or Domain Rating-style metric. SageRank does not run a crawled backlink database. Backlink suggestions are AI-assisted estimates.
- –Measured keyword volume and traffic. Keyword and SERP analysis is AI-assisted, not a licensed volume database.
- –Real citation counts. No AI platform publishes them. SageRank reports a recognition signal from each model instead.
- –Deep security testing on the free scan. The free scan checks HTTPS, HSTS and firewall signals. Vulnerability scanning needs an account and a verified domain.
